I’m sure I’m late to the party on this one, but do you guys know about Photoshop Actions?  I’ve been using Photoshop for years, but I’m constantly discovering new tricks to play around with (and, like I said, I’m sure I’m behind the times.)

Generally, a Photoshop Action is a series of steps that you might want to perform repeatedly, all conveniently packaged into a single click.  I found a bunch of photo-editing actions on The Pioneer Woman’s website and have been blown away by how easy it is to make my average photos look totally beautiful.

Here’s a photo I took in Paris a few years ago.  The “before” picture has bad light, a cloud sky, and nothing too remarkable about it.

I applied the Pioneer Woman’s “Vintage” Photoshop Action with the “Boost” action and voila!  A beautifully haunting photo that is ten times better than the original.  Something boring became something special.

Love it!
