Have you guys read The History of Love, by Nicole Krauss?
It’s a sweet and lovely book if there ever was one. The writing is almost poetic — I read the book with a pencil and a highlighter just so I could be sure to note all of my favorite passages. (Nerd alert, I know. But some of the writing was just so memorizing, I couldn’t help it.)
The book weaves together a few different stories of different types of love, building to a satisfying ending where everything comes together.
I read the book for the first time on a plane a few years ago. As the end of the story was building up the plane landed, and I desperately wanted to finish the story without having to pause while exiting the plane (didn’t want to ruin the moment.) Luckily for me, we ended up with a delay at the arrival gate, and had to sit on the plane for an extra 15 minutes — just enough time for me to finish reading!
