Elie Saab is one of my favorite designers. His gowns have always incorporated lovely silhouettes and delicate details — his latest collection did not disappoint.
The Spring/Summer 2012 collection he showed during Paris Fashion Week this week included a gorgeous set of pastel-colored gowns with intricate beadwork and soft floral textures. The results are beautiful, ethereal, and feminine.
This collection is probably a good preview of what you’ll see at the Oscars this year. Chances are, a few of these dresses will pop up on the red carpet, but you’ll probably end up seeing lots of pastel colors in general, in keeping with this trend.
