It should surprise no one that this is my all-time favorite closet: Gold leaf? Crystal Chandelier? Shimmer and sparkle? The room is bursting with glamour. In fact, calling this a closet doesn’t quite do it justice. This is really more of a dressing room. Dressing lounge.
These photos were featured in Town and Country magazine, and belong to Katie Lee (who was married to Billy Joel at the time.) The space was designed by Nate Berkus for her New York City townhouse.
If you’re embarking on a new year closet clean-out (as I should be doing, sometime this month) here are a few other inspirational closet designs:

This closet manages to pack in alot of storage. The drawers at the bottom are a nice functional touch. [photo source]
I love the idea of showcasing your favorite purses like artwork. [photo source]
Transform your attic into a dressing room. Great idea for small spaces. Metallic wallpaper on the ceiling isn’t a bad idea either! [photo source]
This closet makes great use of the tight space with storage stacked all the way to the ceiling. [photo source]
No dressing room is complete without a tufted ottoman. (And small poodle?) [photo source]
So light and bright. I love the idea of garment racks for clothes storage. [photo source]
